PARISH MEETING

Remember the parish meeting next Sunday, Feb. 21 following the 8am service. We will elect members to the vestry and a convocation delegate. Your questions about the survey committee and the state of the parish will be answered. Don’t miss it!!

SHROVE TUESDAY

Tickets for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be on sale this morning and at the door—$5 each or $15 per family. That’s Tuesday, Feb. 16, beginning at 5:30 pm. Don’t miss this great time of good food and good fellowship. See a BOSA member.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Shrove Tuesday—Join us for our annual pancake supper on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 5:30pm. The cost is $5 per person, not to exceed $15 per family.

Ash Wednesday—We begin the Lenten season with our Ash Wednesday service, Feb. 17 at 7 pm.

Lenten Series—Our five-week Lenten series on the Seven Last Words of Christ will begin on February 24 at 6:00pm. Each Wednesday evening will begin with a light supper and will conclude with Compline at 7:45.

Vestry Meeting

The Vestry will meet at 6:00 pm on Monday, Feb. 15. In preparation for the annual meeting on Sunday, Feb. 21, we will be discussing the parish budget. We will also be looking at a draft of the parish survey to be conducted in March. All members of the congregation are cordially invited to attend.

Visit of Bishop Frey

Our Assisting Bishop, the Rt. Rev. William Frey, will visit St. Francis on Sunday, March 14. If you or a family member would like to be received or confirmed in the Episcopal Church, please contact our deacon, Rev. Ruth Morgan, as soon as possible at the church office, 896-1999. We look forward to a festive and inspirational visit from our bishop.

Lenten Sketches

The Music Department is presenting “The Lenten Sketches” on Good Friday, Apr. 2 at 7 pm. This is a moving musical offering that will truly enhance your Lenten and Holy Week experience. As wonderful as our Adult Choir is, additional singers are needed. Rehearsals begin on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:45pm. We look forward to meeting those who would like to share their gifts with us.
